The Taiyuan Xuncheng Reformed Church commenced a three-day youth summer camp on July 24. Approximately fifteen children aged six and older participated, accompanied by three sets of church ministers and their wives: Pastor An Yankui and his wife, Brother Wang Yingjie and his wife, and Brother Zhang Chenghao and his wife.
Around 5:30 PM on July 25, the camp was confronted by a joint law enforcement action from the Yangqu County police and the civil affairs bureau. The police and civil affairs bureau personnel, citing safety reasons, forcibly entered the campsite, hindering the normal activities of the summer camp. Pastor An Yankui and his wife, Brother Wang Yingjie, and Brother Zhang Chenghao have been taken away by the police.
