Pastor Piao Guangzhe of Nanning New Life Church was administratively detained for 15 days by the Liangqing Sub-bureau of the Nanning Public Security Bureau on August 8, 2023, on the grounds of “using religion to disrupt social order.” He is currently detained in the Nanning Detention Center.
