Kingdom Prayer Request – Linfen Golden Lampstand Church July 11, 2023

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, peace be with you!

Pastor Wang Xiaoguang, Preacher Yang Rongli, and 12 other brothers and sisters from the Linfen Golden Lampstand Church have been falsely accused of “fraud” and have been imprisoned for two years (6 of them were released on bail pending trial, while the other 6 have been continuously detained in the detention center). The case is scheduled to be heard in the Yaodu District Court of Linfen City on August 21, 2023. We earnestly request all brothers and sisters who believe in the Lord to offer prayers, asking our loving Heavenly Father to watch over and listen.

1. Please pray for the judges and the panel of jurors, including all relevant officials and staff members. Pray that they maintain the basic judicial and moral bottom lines and judge the case fairly. In the name of the Lord, rebuke all evil in the process of the case.
2. Pray for the brothers and sisters of the Golden Lampstand Church who were forced to write the so-called “complaint” materials. May the Lord move their hearts to confess their sins before the Lord and seek His forgiveness for the sins committed under pressure. May they also have the grace and strength from the Lord to willingly participate in the trial and honestly testify to the innocence of the brothers in good conscience. These brothers and sisters will face many intimidations and pressures when testifying in court. Pray that the Lord removes all obstacles, foils all of Satan’s schemes, and grants them courage and strength without fear.
3. Pray for all the lawyers involved in the defense at the trial. In recent years, there have been many cases of churches being falsely accused of “fraud,” and the situation is very difficult. Pray for the safety of the lawyers, and that God grants them wisdom, strength, and unity to vigorously defend the brothers in court and bear witness to the Gospel, bringing shame and disgrace to the schemes of the devil and Satan.
4. Especially pray for Pastor Wang Xiaoguang, Preacher Yang Rongli, and the ten other brothers and sisters who are accused, asking the Lord to strengthen them. May they bear a good witness for the Lord in front of the world.
