Brother Wang Shunping is home! “Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. The devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.” (Revelation 2:10)
Yesterday morning (May 7), all five brothers and sisters in Yunnan’s Nujiang, accused of “organizing and funding illegal gatherings,” were released on bail pending trial and safely returned home to reunite with their families.
Thanks be to God for His protection and care!
Thank you to the prosecutors of the Fugong Procuratorate for daring to uphold legal principles.
Thank you to the pastors and brothers and sisters who have helped, cared for, supported, and prayed for these imprisoned brothers and sisters and their families over the past period.
Thank you to lawyers Zhao Qingshan, Guo Haibo, Wen Yu, and Li Guisheng for their efforts in following up on the case. Over the past year, these lawyers have traveled thousands of miles to Yunnan’s Nujiang to review case files and visit the imprisoned brothers and sisters. During the handling of the case, they met with prosecutors several times and submitted opinions to the Procuratorate to protect the rights and interests of the brothers and sisters.
The Lord says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:14-15)
Pray that the Lord continues to use these five brothers and sisters as His witnesses and also protects and watches over other pastors, brothers and sisters who are still deprived of their freedom and imprisoned, as well as their families, hoping they can return home and reunite with their families like these five brothers and sisters soon!
