On Sunday, May 7, 2023, around 10 a.m., the Guangzhou Bible Reformed Church, with its four congregations in Guangzhou and a new congregation in Xinhui, Jiangmen, was subject to a joint enforcement action by the Religious Affairs Bureau and Public Security Bureau. The worship service was interrupted, and elders, preachers, and some co-workers from each congregation were taken away. After recording statements, the elders, preachers, and co-workers from the four Guangzhou congregations were successively released. However, as of 3 p.m., the preacher and a co-worker from the Xinhui congregation had not been released.
Please continue to pray for the preacher and co-workers of the Xinhui congregation, asking for God’s protection!
Please continue to pray for the Guangzhou Bible Reformed Church, asking God to protect the Guangzhou Bible Reformed Church and continue using it to make a glorious witness for the Lord in Guangzhou!
