Peace in the Lord!
We are thankful for your intercession to keep us standing on the Lord in the midst of the stormy seas. in April 2023, Pastor Changchun Wan, Elder Shaoqiang Xue, Sister Chunqin Wan, and Brother Binting Cao from our church were arrested on suspicion of “fraud”. The case was first returned to the Public Security Bureau for investigation on September 18, 2023, and has now been transferred to the Bengbu Yuhui District Procuratorate for review and prosecution. Some brothers and sisters were brought in by the Public Security Bureau and the State Security Bureau during the investigation and return stage, and the many questions they were asked caused them great stress in their lives and work. Family members also suffered in many ways during this period, and their wives and children looked on in longing. Thanks to the grace of the faithful Lord, the home detention of Wan Changchun’s wife, Mrs. You Xiu Lin, has been lifted, and she is now awaiting trial on bail, and the charges against her have been withdrawn. Living Stone Reformed Church once again affirms that the four co-workers of our church have not “defrauded” anyone of their money, and that our brothers and sisters know that they have not been defrauded. All donations are made willingly, and the church’s expenditures are open and transparent. In short, none of us were defrauded! In the time of the flood the LORD sits as king; the LORD sits as king forever. The LORD will give strength to his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace. (Psalm 29:10-11)
