On November 10, 2023, approximately 361 devices of brothers and sisters participated online in the “5 PM Kingdom Prayer Meeting for China”. The special prayer requests for today are as follows: 1. - Pray for the Early Rain Covenant Church and Elder Li Yingqiang
Updated Prayer Request: “【Early Rain Covenant Church Prayer Request Update】20231110 Yesterday morning (November 9), Elder Li Yingqiang and his co-workers visited the Dazhou Haotudi Preaching House to visit brothers and sisters, and conducted baptism and communion worship. During the worship meeting, they encountered joint law enforcement by multiple departments. A total of thirteen brothers and sisters were taken to the police station, and by late night, Pastor Daizhichao and Pastor An Yankui, along with eleven other brothers and sisters, were released. Elder Li Yingqiang and Brother Houdou Shu, a co-worker from the Haotudi Preaching House, were held overnight at the case handling center. Around noon, Brother Houdou Shu was released to go home. Elder Li Yingqiang was given a ten-day administrative detention and fined 500 yuan, to be carried out in Dazhou City Detention Center. Brother Houdou Shu was given a five-day administrative detention, but the police, considering his health condition, did not enforce it. We thank the churches for praying for Early Rain Church. May the Lord continue to lead this church through trials, to walk more firmly and powerfully on the path of the cross. Please continue to pray for Elder Li Yingqiang and his family, as well as Early Rain Church. May the Lord support the brothers and sisters in Dazhou, and may peace be upon those whom the Lord loves! Lord, we give thanks for all the members who were released. May you continue to lead their future service. Lord, we also pray for Elder Li Yingqiang, entrusting him into your gracious hands. He is now joining us in prayer at five o’clock. May these repeated shocks and detentions make our prayers more urgent and our hearts unable to hide. Lord, we will not be able to see him with us in the prayer room for nine days; please watch over his rest in the detention center. You have taken him there, where perhaps many of your people are waiting for your servant to come and find them, to shepherd them, unknown to us. For the gospel is for prostitutes, robbers, thieves, and all those considered shameful by the world but treasures to you. Lord, Elder Li Yingqiang has labored for your house (local church), strengthening your children everywhere. Please also watch over his family, watch over Mrs. Xinyue, watch over Karlson and the little brother, so that they can peacefully wait for their husband and father, and provide for their daily needs. We pray for the continued strengthening of this church, its co-workers, each branch, and preaching house, strengthening the churches in Western China, and blessing the local churches in Western China. You have raised these many churches to bear witness for you, to be a city on a hill, illuminating the people of this region. May your church be the conscience of this society, the embassy of the kingdom of heaven, bringing the gospel of grace, the gospel of repentance to our compatriots, into detention centers, into custody, into prisons, to those in authority. “Prayer Letter: In Yingzhou District, Fuyang, Anhui, on the afternoon of October 21, six or seven brothers were studying the Bible in an office building when they were raided by the police station, the community, and the Religious Affairs Bureau. Without any seizure list, books and computers were taken away. Several brothers were detained at the local street office until after 2 a.m. On November 3, Brothers Changshun, Han Meng, and Han Xuri (only Brother Han Meng was involved that night) were forcibly taken to the Fuyang Development Zone Police Station for interrogation until after 1 a.m., and were given administrative detentions of 15 and 10 days, respectively. Please pray for them, asking God to strengthen the brothers inside and comfort their families outside.”
Lord, we ask you to strengthen China’s home churches, strengthen these detained members, comfort their families, and grant them sufficient grace. We believe that in today’s China, many such churches and members are continuously brought before kings, brought before swords. Lord, you did not give them swords; you gave them the gospel of your death and resurrection, and the clear evidence of the Holy Spirit’s power. Please make a way out for us. We long for a sky without bars, but we long even more for the widespread preaching of your gospel. If this is how you use the Chinese church, please continue to use it greatly. But please listen to our daily prayers and pleas, whether aloud or silent, all in your will.
